1. People using Bentley's and Ferrari's as regular, daily vehicles. Seeing a lemon yellow Lotus screech out of the Ralph's grocery store parking lot is just stunning.
2. Needing cardigans in the "heat" of August. Though I've been told that its unseasonable cool this year, I find summer temps dipping into the 60's shocking and thus, a great excuse to shop.
3. Lots and lots of things are named Beverly. It's confusing.
4. Simultaneous views of palms and ocean, huge mountains, and city metropolis. Variety is nice. We saw a fox at the dogpark in the middle of Brentwood...a real one, not one of those hipster poser foxes.
5. The light changing to red in the left turn lane means you and two cars behind you squeeze through before cross traffic has the chance to gun it and plow into you. If you fail to participate, honking erupts.
6. Running is always accidentally cross-training. They don't call it The Hills for nothing.
7. The time change. Calling friends when its early or late here ensures that I barely ever make any sense. I find it just scary that my husband was watching college football this weekend before breakfast.
HIPSTER POSER FOXES!!!! YESS!!!
